Warning tones in the background?

What exactly is the warning or alert tone that I can hear from time to time in the background of the controller's transmission? I would say it sounds similar to a stall warning horn.

I seem to hear the conflict alert going off a lot in the background.

Probably the Collision/Low altitude alert. They go off all the time and it's usually not for genuine imminent situations. ie, the traffic sees each other, but the alarm goes off anyway, or low altitude alerts go off on certain non precision/visual approach aircraft.

Red Chile "The Bandito"! :) That an a gas station "tallboy" of American macro brew, the "Commuter Special"

If its a tone that could be described as a dot dot dot dot at a rapid pace its the conflict alert, a slower dash dash dash type sound is the low altitude alert. There is a third now for the 75/76/7700 codes, but I can't recall well enough what it sounds like. The outside dial lines sound more like a laborious bong bong bong bong. Similar to a stall warning horn though its probably a conflict alert or low altitude alert.

One sector I worked at had it's alarm volume reset to max after some work was done, mid transmission I get a false "TRAFFIC!!!" alert so loud the volume alone made me jump and I clicked off the mic...

It was shortly followed by some quick witted pilot "something we should know about?"
