Wanna grab a beer at the Applebee's tonight?

I can't unsee the lego guy spinning in circles and yelling. I don't fly 121 (yet) but it's still hilarious. Kind of like I've never been in the military but still laugh my head off at duffelblog.
At a certain point the response ceases to be spinning and becomes one of resignation and "welp looks like my sleep opportunity hasn't started yet."

Eeughhh.... Delays turn a short overnight into bare min rest and the captain gets bullied into a showtime exactly 10 hours from now.... AND THERE'S A 40 MINUTE VAN RIDE AND WE STILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH CUSTOMS AND THE VAN ISNT EVEN HERE YET.

Sounds like the 8 hour sleep opportunity couldn't commence as planned.

I don't see the problem (for you, anyway).

I had an argument with CS about that once. Wanted us exactly 10 hours. Waited forever for transport to the hotel. Got to the hotel at 1215am. Think we were supposed to be back at 830. Can't remember exactly. Anyways, I tell the CA I'm not catching an 815 shuttle. He calls CS (he was an old-timer, company man, Company never did me wrong, they know everything, yada yada type guy) and agrees we are legal. I call them and tell them I cannot legally take an 815 shuttle it's 1215. I need an 8 hour sleep opportunity. She said "that's eight hours from now so you're good." I said, "nope, you expect me to fall asleep right now on the phone and wake up exactly at 815 showered, dressed, ready to go in the lobby? Ain't happening." She said the only option was to call in fatigued. Fine. Put me on with a supervisor and said I'm going to have to call in fatigued because this rest doesn't meet the requirements.

Supervisor changed our show time the next day.

Why would someone even show up at a job fair if they didn't meet the minimum qualifications?

I did that once. Got the job, too. Not even kidding.

"Well, you're a little light on flight time."

"I agree, but I'm trying to come see you guys early and often, so when the experience falls into place it's an easy decision for both of us."

"That's the right attitude."
