Waht is life like at ATP??

Probably before even they had the apartment.

I wonder if Fallon has blossomed in the desert behind the house. Nahhhh what am I talking about, the wolverines obviously got to her.

Anyone who gets the 182, go ahead and take any scraps or leftovers that will otherwise be garbage, and throw them into the grass behind the back porch. Then the next morning go and see how they magically disappeared. :D

Were you guys living there when the place got sacked? I stayed there one night and I was standing outside on the sidewalk talking on my phone when this giant beam of light shined down on me. I look up to see the cops were searching the parking lot from a helicopter.

The two dudes that live there now are pretty cool. Though the one shower looked like it had been cleaned when the place was built.

To be honest, the best part about The Disco was the endless supply of canned chili and veggies awaiting my arrival in Riverside. Must have been a gift from the “Instructor Gods.”

the guys in there now are still eating that ####....

Nick (NJT916) was the one who had most of his stuff stolen. Luckily I had moved out about 2 weeks prior. I was on the phone with him when he was like "hmm... they must have changed the locks, I cant get the key to go in." But it was actually because the thief had jammed something in there to open it.

I stayed in RAL a few times, I hated it...half the guys are great the other half act like the were just shat out of their mommies with wings and a 10inchc$%k...there were more than a few times I and my flight partner were ready to start throwin...I'm still good friends with the other half...

Thats because we rule! When did you go through the program?

I was up in the pattern today at a local airport in VA and heard some ATP Seminoles and one guys goes over the radio "ATP guys are dangerous" hahahahha

I flew two legs with a RAL guy, had to teach him what "all those little numbers" are on a Low-Enroute...I'm sure that he was an exception, but RAL isn't held in the highest asteem...

Where did you do your training?

I went through riverside and had a great time with an awesome instructor. I finished in 3 months and was very prepared for CFI school. People need to realize that ATP is great but it all depends on how much you put in and to a lesser extent how good your instructors are. If you half ass your way through it and just train to the checkride gouges you aren't gonna know jack. During my cross country phase we flew to JAX and it seemed like every stereotypical dweeb decided to attend or instruct that location. This was a while ago so things probably change...

It's not called "Club Stuart" for nothing. Honestly, every ATP apartment I've been to has had a dish washer, washing and drying machine, even an ironing board and iron, and a furnished kitchen. You can't ask for more than that. Hell, I wish the crash pad I am staying in right now in Miami had half of that stuff!

I really lucked out in ending up in Stuart. I wanted to go to JAX (for some stupid reason) but there were no slots on the date I wanted to start so they offered me Stuart. I'd never even heard of the place until then, but ended up being really happy down there. The apartments were actually pretty clean and nice when I got there and stayed that way until I was almost done. Then two students moved in and between them, they managed to completely trash the place in a matter of days. From what I heard things went down hill from there for a while, although I would imagine (and hope) stuff has cleaned up a bit since then.

You've got to keep in mind that there were 3 or 4 of us in there (including a girl who was ALWAYS cleaning) for the first 2.5 months I was there. The place was always vacuumed, the counters were always wiped, the trash was taken out. Then these two yahoos show up (and three of the old people left) and all of the sudden there were beer bottles and full ashtrays all over the place, I was the only one who took the trash out and the dishes (when they actually cooked something) just piled up in the sink. And then one of them decided he missed his dog so he went up to Orlando and brought it back. The thing slobbered and shed all over the place. I was glad to be at CFI school for most of that and then be leaving a week later.

In PHX we kept a pretty tight reign on the (believe it or not there were only 2 student apartments and one CFI apartment back then) 3 units. Also, the complex was pretty nice so there was some pressure on the students to keep it that way.
