:yeahthat:At TKI (contract tower) they are always happy to have you. Just be sure to call ahead to ensure that they're not busy (it'd be best to go on an off day).
Every controller I've talked to also really likes to answer questions, so don't be shy!

I got up and chat with them all the time. Usually a batch of chocolate chip cookies and they're putty in your hands. Lol.
I love the TKI tower guys.
im not sure what the rules for visiting an FAA tower, but here in MLB(contract tower) to visit all you have to do is give them a call and state your purpose and they will be more then happy to assist... awesome folks./QUOTE]
:yeahthat: The last time I went up I almost spent all day up there; also learned a lot!!

... Maybe I will bring some cookies and see what happens.......
I think that might be on AirNav, not quite sure. Obviously, all of the bigger airports will be run by the FAA. If it's a smaller airport, it could be contracted out.How do you know if it's an FAA tower or a contract tower?
