In case you didn't catch it...

Not meant to be an affront to the RAH guys, but just take a moment and think about where the industry continues to head. Our own SkyWest/Airtan deal has me quite concerned as well. Sorry for the folks at Midwest :(

I am convinced no one is innocent in our plight. From the legacies giving up scope, the management whipsaws, the bankruptcies, poorly ran airlines, de-regulation, the cheap traveling public, to us regional folks taking the job in the first place...we are all guilty in some part. Question is what do we do now?

Very sad....That should be required watching for all current and future airline pilots. We have to stop the downward spiral of this industry.

I hope the speech the MEC chair made resonated in a lot of people. We are only strong when we stick together. Monday was a sad day in Milwaukee and I hope we never have to do that again.

Great to see the support of the various pilot groups at the end. I believe I saw one of JC's own at about 4:37 of the video. I won't out him,but again...great to see the support. Good Luck ladies and Gents.

Yep, Andrew (amorris) was there, too, even though he didn't make the video. A great group of people to spend the evening with, but a sad day. As Andrew said when everyone was clapping as the last Midwest crew came off the airplane "I hope I'm never on the receiving end of this kind of applause."

Very sad to see. I was going to try to get on the last mainline SFO-MCI last Monday, but it didn't work out. I hope the crews find jobs soon, as difficult as that is right now.

I used to work for their holding company. I'm goign to have to get about four beers in me before I watch that.

Some great words spoken by Capt. Freitas. One quote really stuck out to me:
"While I regret the price the Midwest pilots are paying, I’m proud that as a group was stood up and said “NO, not us, we won’t be your pawns – this is as far as you go”.

RIP Midwest

I def suggest getting a few beers in you before you watch the video. Those involved are a class ...

That flight attendant brought up a great point. When she said "they may have bought our slogan, but the didn't buy the years of professionalism that made the slogan." (I'm paraphrasing). And Captain Freitas talking about management building a lower floor for them to stand on, great analogy. How sad is it to see all those crews lose 25 years of hard work. Despite them being out of work I got the impression that they were in good spirits. Hopefully they move on to bigger and better things.

I've seen ALPA work in my company and needless to say have not been impressed. I'll be honest to say that I dislike my MEC. However that video really made me think more about the bigger picture. Maybe something my MEC might need to do too. That video was really well done. Good Luck to those crews.

I'll second what Cleared said. Sad to see Midwest pay such a steep price for putting their foot down.

Just a union-centric thought from a guy who once wanted to do this for a living...

Wouldn't it be ten steps in the right direction to see the RAH pilots refuse to fly Midwest colors.

Just a thought.

If only man. If only.

I miss Midwest already. God damn this industry and it's management.

Easier said than done, unfortunately, when you have two different unions...
