Ok what are your thoughts ont he the following statement or lack there of on and ILS approach plate

VGSI and ILS glidepath not coincident.

WIth the statement on the approach plate you would expect the two to be different. If the statement is not on the ILS are the VGSI and ILS GS supposed to be nearly identical?

'xactly.

If visual you can see that glideslope will not be on the PAPI/VASI path if the appch plate says "VGSI and Glideslope not coincident"

Otherwise if not stated, a dot high on the glideslope will show three whites and one red if visual.
It's pretty cool in my book.

Yes.

I'd expect them to be lined up when I break out, unless that note exists. Lets me know to expect something possibly annoying/confusing.

Ok great, thought I was going crazy. Went into xyz the other day on the ILS and was on the GS and broke out and was RED over RED. Check the FO's side he said we were on the GS. It was mildly annoying. The window picture looked correct so we stuck with electronic G/S. No warning on the approach plate that the VGSI and GS are not coincident. Come back into XYZ again on the visual a few days later and different FO flying (ILS NOT UP) he flys the VASI down and holy crap 1/2 way down you could see it would have us landing 1/2 down the runway. We ignorned and landed in the touchdown zone red over red. Informed tower and they could have cared less. I"ve filed several ASRS on this but nothing has come of it. Wonder who to call next? Anyone got a number for the FAA flight check?

Bandit - is there a way you can contact your CMU/CMO directly? Depending on how proactive your POI is, it could be a good avenue. Otherwise, you could really pull the pin and call the FAA Safety Hotline. I've never seen an investigation "lit up" like I have after that number was called!

A bit annoying when they don't match. BGR runway 15 is one that sticks out in my mind as pretty far off. If you've got the glideslope nailed, you're seeing a solid 3 white on the PAPI.
