Very sad day in Israel today

Ilan Ramon was the first Israeli Astronaut and he was killed on board the shuttle Columbia back in February 2003.
His older son graduated first in his class from the IAF flight school only two months ago. He was killed yesterday when his F-16A (part of Advanced Training Squadron) crashed during dog fight training. Not clear yet what happened, but the instructor/#1 called him three times "watch altitude" and he never responded, so they suspect a possible black out or maybe G lock.

BTW - Ilan Ramon was also #8 (last one) in the Israeli Air Force' attack on the Iraqi nuclear facility near Baghdad in June 1981.

It is very sad. It is also important to remember that they died living out their dreams. While this does not make it any easier, it makes it easier to celebrate the great life they led. RIP.
