Various/vague employments?

I had no aviation industry experience (in fact, my work experience was weak in general) I got hired literally the day I graduated from college with my first choice of company while receiving 5-6 rejection letter from others within the span of a few weeks. It can be done, you just need to dedicate yourself to it and stay positive.
 
Mine took a little longer because there wasn't a lot of people willing to hire me, but I am happy with the path that I took, because I think it made me a better dispatcher.

To many to even list.

Best advice is to not worry about any of that. Study. Get your license. Write a resume. Get an interview suit. Do some practice interviews if you can. Keep at it.
 
Networking served me quite well...and it all started for me right here on the forum. Thank you pljenkins!

Network, network, network. Maintain those relationships and if you get a shot at an interview, be prepared. Study. Know your weaknesses in an interview situation and practice beforehand. This helps more than you can imagine. There are numerous videos out there with helpful information on the do's and dont's with interviewing. And the best advice I ever got was "just be yourself". And so I was...and got the job.
 
You are too kind. :) I'm my case it was pre 9/11 and airlines were hiring like crazy. This industry is extremely cyclical. Lots of hiring, then nothing, then back at it. Those of us snatched up out of school just had good timing.
