Various from this afternoon's adventure

My tease thread details my primary reasoning for heading up to the airport this afternoon. As promised, there are more pictures of the aircraft in question, along with some assorted planes that were in attendance.

Here goes. . .

Sorry for the sizes on these past two. They were rushed, and had the wrong lens on the camera when taking them so the larger resolutions ended up with a great deal of noise, they're available on flickr though if you're that into it.

More Kodiak!

Hope you enjoyed the shots of the Kodiak. Unfortunately no shots of upfront, the crew had already left.

Managed to meet the Director of Customer service for the company. The Kodiak, and the Amphib 206 are owned by the Fish and Wildlife Service (www.fws.gov), seems the Director was flying with the FWS pilot as part of the training program for the airplane.

And, a couple more.

Cessna 182 over from Shelby, AL (KEET) - Once again, very pleased with how the colors came out in post processing.

the Kodiak looks like the love child of the gippsland and the caravan. It's pretty cool though cool pictures as well

Dood, should have called me! I would have loved to see that thing (and ask for job flying it in case the worst happens :p).

Nice pics! I notice the amphib 206 has the passenger door kit installed. I hear it takes about 30 lbs off useful load, but is mainly done in case the airplane is rolled (creates more escape options). Any insight on that?

Good eye, no insight though I'm afraid.

Perhaps if we have any FWS pilots lurking they'll register and speak up. :)
