Value of PIC Turbine in a Beech

Ok so I am at one of those slow upgrade regionals flying a jet about 50 hours a month. In the back of my mind I have been considering flying for Ameriflight or possibly Big Sky to build quick PIC time. Both have bases close to my home and the pay would not be that much different from what I am making now.
I was wondering if Beech captains at either of these companies generally move to a major or something like NJI or CS?

What are your opinions if you have any? :)

Your not going to get anymore time quicker at AMF Im blocking roughly 2.2hrs a day 4 days a week. Most of us move on to corp/frac or majors. Some of them are here on JC. If your looking to get PIC than the regional route don't bother. Turbine time is turbine time doesn't matter if its a beech, piper, cessna, unless your a metro pilot than your a bad ### ####### pilot than I envy you.

I assume you mean Billings for Big Sky?

BIL is not available to street CAs, Just BOS and CVG. At least thats how it was about a month ago. As far as I know BIL has actually shrunk to supply airplanes to the DL side.

Oh yeah? Well I would prefer the BIL base. Right now Its just something I am considering as I am not at the Street Capt. mins quite yet...

JayAre are you based in SLC? Thats where I would want to be based. What fleet types are in SLC?

Also I think I recall something about AMF and jumpseat agreements with other airlines... is this true?

Ameriflight DFW

Does anyone know anything about Ameriflight DFW base? I am looking to fly the BE99 out of DFW and just wanted to find out more info since the ACP hasn't called me back.

There aren't any BE99's based in DFW. The best time to get ahold of the ACP would most likely be mid day to evenings.

Jumpseat agreement with Southwest.

Jumpseat agreement with Southwest.

rumor was we denied delta and ups that wanted j/s agreement with us.

grrr..

we are so heavy with 99 pilots now in SLC im going tdy to pdx for two weeks

I passed on the metro going to play the odds in the next three months for the 1900

You passed on the Metro for the 1900? Experiencing a little shrinkage are we?:) Hopefully they can get me in that metro class.

Not sure about the freight dawgies...but flying the 19hondo PAX version gives you a lot of interview material to use down the road!

They are about the same. I'm just picking on JayAre thats all.:) I'm on the Metro bandwagon because that's the plane I'll, most liley, be in next.

I'd be all over the turbine PIC if you're looking to move up to a major.

Yeh, I'd snag the Turbine PIC..

I am going to see if I can upgrade here or jump ship to some TPIC...

I almost went to BigSky with Regions went up, but I didn't know how I could afford the live in BOS on the pay...

IF there was just one thing that pisses me off about AMF, it's that. The easiest and cheapest benefit they can give us.:mad::mad::mad:

There's a whole story behind why Amflight only has the JS agreement with Southwest if you want it one day. I was ranting and raving to the guys upstairs about that in Burbank and they gave me the skinny.
