I'll be at Ari in first week of May. If you're still there I'll explain it. The VA caused me a lot of problems. Cost me my savings. Wouldn't need a loan or at least a little one. One reason I'm pissed with them. And I live in Long Island NY. So, yeah mortgage and taxes kill. Just got to make sure everything is covered while I train.

As a military pilot I'm faced with alot the same things you are. The voc rehab is a crock of ####, it's a 100% but only until you get the degree or ratings your seeking and then it's done. At least with the GI bill you can keep going until you run out of time or money. The fact is that this training is not giving you a degree, its goes back to why the program was started in the first place - when it was called the college fund. They just did us a favor by adding flight training on too, plus other certificated courses.
I searched around for about six months for a school from cali up to st. louis to mississippi and Ari was the best one for the buck; plus I figured training time, atmosphere, and a place that I could stay and teach at for awhile. I'm already commercially rated in heli's but it just saves me a little time.
