They're probably against the swap because they think they can protect their pilots interests better by keeping the base open, slowly bleeding the company dry. This is just a roundabout way of doing it.

That being said, I think they are nuts and give all unions a bad name. Plus DCA? C'mon that's a goldmine.

I really have no idea what this is about, but if the fares are going up simply because the airlines cost basis is going up, and it isn't significantly increasing profits... that's not a good thing.
