That's crazy. Less than a year to 190 captain. Granted you'd be junior reserve on it forever, but pay wise, that's comparable to senior Airbus FO pay. Not too bad.

First few years more than airbus first officer but after year 7 it pays less than the airbus. People trash the embraer like it's a glorified rj but I bet that those guys that upgraded on the e190 as captains will make more and have a line quicker than everyone thinks.

Either way I messed up my bid because I didn't know what I was doing.

2nd year e190 capt at usamerican is 114/hr. 2nd year md80 at delta is 95 according to apc. Am I wrong in thinking that e190 capt at airways pays significantly more?

At reserve guarantee for each the 190 would pay 17k a year more. That's significant to me. But I'm broke.

I'm a QOL guy. The 2nd year EMB-190 CA pays more, but you'll have a better schedule, but less "Bar Bragging Rights" as a 2nd year MD-88/90 FO.

I have a whole month off. My incremental pay increase as a A320 CA is inconsequential to having a month off with A330 FO pay and not sitting reserve in the Southeast.

Which, while we're on the topic, ass-tons higher than top E-190CA pay.

The 190 is such a small chunk of the big picture at USAir. The laughable pay that the east has been working under over the last few years are over. The MoU rates are pretty good and will have a parity peer review in 2016 to make sure they are inline with uAL and DAL. I wouldn't count on a one year upgrade nor a quick run to the 767 for very long as the merger continues forward. I passed on the 767 In hopes the other airplane will give me a better QOL with similar pay. For me the 190 Capt wasn't even A thought in my mind.
