US vs British Virgin Islands

Planning a trip for March/April timeframe. Going to be me, my wiiiifffeee, my 4 yr old and another family with a 4 yr old son. Trying to decide between USVI or BVI. I’ve been to BVI but was 16 and we stayed on a catamaran. Anyone been with a family? Which is more family friendly? Would prefer not do the whole resort thing, would prefer a hotel or vacation rental.

Did point pleasant and Sebastian’s on the beach in 2017. Both resorts, I guess USVI was more family oriented. BVI seemed to more cater for the fun seeker crowd, but was more laid back otherwise. Think you could take a family there.

Air Sunshine wasn’t the cheapest but was a fun way to do the transfer…

My experience has been that the BVI was a little nicer than the USVI, but that was 20 years ago. Bartender on St John told me once that the only thing there that moves fast is your money.

St John was nice, but expensive. I personally preferred Tortola.
