As if they didn't have enough problems: Glitch lets US Airways tickets sell for under $2
Since US Airways plans on honoring the tickets, anyone lucky enough to snag one?

All I can say is there better not be any petty complaints from those passengers.

United had something simliar happen several years ago. Tickets to Paris & other European cities were going for like $20. The computer glitch was fixed, but UAL used it to their advantage marketing. They made a big deal about it, and honored every ticket sold for those fares.

I wish I knew about these $2 tickets before they fixed the glitch. I could have bought some round-trip tickets to California for the price of a cup of coffee. At least it's good publicity for US Airways.

Ha, yeah, they could turn it into a whole marketing campaign.. "We can't figure out our computer system and we are bankrupt so have a seat while we take you and this big metal tube 40 thousand feet into the air and safely bring it back down in a predetermined place".

Geez things aren't looking good there at US, kinda makes you wonder with the luggage/employee problems they had a while back if this wasn't the result of employees giving up on their jobs?

I wonder how many people were able to get the cheap fair and if US can afford to honor all those tickets?

I think the tickets were to smaller cities on the east coast. Not really useful unless you happen to know someone in Asheville, NC or you want to rack up a few frequent flier miles.
