Current ATP Certificate or written-Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine land instrument rating (without limitations)-Current FE written or turbojet rating-FCC restricted radiotelephone operator permit-Current FAA First Class medical certificate-Minimum 21 years of age-Must have a minimum of 1000 hours in fixed-wing jet and/or fixed-wing multi-engine turboprop pilot in command (PIC)-Must have a minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time-Must hold a valid passport-Must have authorization to work in the United States-A bachelor's degree is preferred-Recommendations from UPS employees are preferred-Recency and type of experience will be taken into consideration.

All candidates who are interested in employment opportunities should go to UPSJOBS.COM and create an employment profile on the website. Once all profiles have been received, they will be evaluated to determine whether the candidate meets the minimum and preferred qualifications for the job.

Current UPSers interested in referring a candidate who has created an employment profile on UPSJOBS.COM should submit a Pilot Recommendation Form to Human Resources. The form can be accessed on (intentially******blocked) beginning on Friday, October 15, through a "Pilot Referral" link on the front page of the site. Once the form is filled out, it can be submitted electronically to Human Resources.

This makes my point that nobody cares if your degree is in aviation or not.

Should I mention I'm not qualified to work at UPS....hehe. I still don't have 1000 PIC turbine yet. (I'm lazy)
Back in the day, that would be the late 80's/early 90's, when there was sort of a hiring boom going on, UPS had lower mins. Had to find a way to get bodies in those seats. The best qualed guys were going to Delta, United, American, Northwest, ect. Even guys in my class left for Southwest, America West and United. UPS couldn't get no respect....

Boy....how times change.
 
What are the minimums for Delta Connection Academy graduates? They must be lower for those that trained smart and trusted the experts.

Oh what I would give to receive a "you're hired!" letter from UPS. Yeah, I meet and exceed the mins, but enough to be competitive? Doubtful.

Don't feel bad, Bog. I probably don't meet the competitive mins anymore either. I think LOR's offset the lack of experience. There's a lot of truth to not what you know but...who you know.

I just had a 26 hr overnight down in SDF yesterday. That's a really impressive facility down there. Only saw it from across the field (and above it!) but still.
 
Ah yes...UPS Worldport! Mecca of the Midwest! The land of Oz for UPS Air headquarters. It's all very impressive right up until a computer hiccups during a next day air sort.
