So I'm a little confused on some of the information that is displayed on the UPS listing website. I put in a request for EWR-MCO for Aug. 9th. What I don't understand is the "valid dates" column. Do they only offer that route certain times during the year? Also, why do the airplane icons show for Tues-Fri on some and then only on the requested date on others? Last thing what's the easiest way to find the Flight Ops in different airports?

Thanks for the help. I haven't jumped on UPS before and appreciate any help.

I'm not sure I understand it completely, either. Sorry it's so confusing. Remember, we are a trucking company, not an airline, so don't expect UPS to do things like other airlines (tongue in cheek but it's really true). Anyhow, I think the "valid dates" column is really saying that the listed times and flight number is only valid for those "valid dates". As to your second question, I have no idea. Yeah. Sorry. My post got clipped. As far as getting to the UPS operation, you have to get to the cargo area and find UPS. Talk to security and they will have the ops people escort you in and get your jumpseat form. Ops will leave you at the pilot lounge where you meet the flight crew when they show up. You need to list in advance using the 800 number. You can't just show up and get a ride like normal jumpseating on the airlines. Once you get to the crews, I'm sure you'll be treated as an honored guest. Out of SDF they don't cater for jumpseaters (not even ours, unless they are a must ride) but it's not unusual to have the out stations provide a crew meal for you. Best thing you can do is call the 800 number and ask them any questions you have. Let me know if you have any trouble.
