I've received a bunch of pm's asking about the position opening for a short time, then closing, then opening again, and closing again and again and again. So here is what's going on:
This is the same opening for one assistant that I posted on here a few weeks back. What happens is that human remains, I mean human resources, will set the online parameters to collect about 20 or so applicants and then automatically close the post. HR is then supposed to filter out the bartenders and bus drivers so our manager just gets dispatcher resumes. At this point the mgr sifts through to hopefully find one or more applicants who meet the desired experience criteria. If there are not enough that make the cut then HR opens it back up. When enough qualified resumes are stacked up then phone interviews start, followed by personal interviews. There have been some phone interviews and a couple face-to-face, but they want a larger pool than what they've got. So if they've talked to you and you haven't heard back, this doesn't mean you've been rejected or that you're not their dream employee. They just want to have lots of candidates to lead on, turn down, and disappoint. Although this is for one position now there will be more in the future.
Hope this clears up at least some of the nonsense.
