UPS dispatchers reach tentative agreement on new contract

Let’s see that pay scale!

No one will see if until it's time to vote on it. And then only the members. Non UPS dispatchers won't see it for several months probably... If it passes.

IIRC, I think UPS dispatchers (still) have a full pension.

If it passes, I see no reason not to make it public immediately. My guess is it's close to the industry lead, if not slightly over (in base only!) Minus the massive bonuses, the great overrides, the flight benefits, the sick days, the shift trade-ability, favorable overtime rules and the 401(k) gifts/matches of the serious players. I would say we have the best healthcare plan in the industry, probably easily. Don't be fooled by the pension, it's total garbage compared to industry standard 401(k) gifts/matches. I highly doubt anyone younger than 50 ever sees a dime from it.

Other than flight benefits and profit sharing bonuses, what makes you think UPS doesn't have the other things you mentioned? They can fly on their own equipment and are in CASS. All airlines have shift tradeability - I'm pretty sure they are included, and I'm sure they have sick days, overtime rules, good health insurance, etc. They may well have a 401K match as well as their pension for all I know. And considering they are massively profitable, I don't see why younger people shouldn't expect to see money from the pension when they retire.
