Kinda like the captain who googled/looked me up in the FAA database and mentioned my type ratings, city I live in, and the street I'm on when we first met at the gate.....
Now that's creepy.

But I was working for the state for 3-5...Derg said:Some airlines ask for a full employment history. Full as in, well, "Sooooo you got out of high school, what happened next?" And it can be a "poker game" during the background check. They may know what you don't think they know, as many airlines may use a third party that specializes in this stuff. If you've got a social media post from 2005 saying "Gave the the double-finger and walked out of ground school" but you simply listed "unemployed" in that same timeframe without mentioning this, it may get flagged.
I'd go even further and maybe even sanitize any social media you may have out there. All true.
My suggestion is once you get the interview invite, go "inactive" or whatever they call it until the background check is done. And then wait another three weeks.
I'd go even further and maybe even sanitize any social media you may have out there.
Or, you know, just don't post anything dumb or something you wouldn't normally say/do in real life.I'd go even further and maybe even sanitize any social media you may have out there.

Have you ever been arrested?
Have you ever been convicted?
Two very different questions if asked.
He was marking his territory.
I got popped for having a beer in public on Fourth of July 8 years ago. No arrest, just a $25 ticket that is a lower infraction than a parking ticket where I live. Not even a court appearance.
This hasn't come up on any background checks I've seen on myself, yet I put 'yes' on the have you ever question, because a record does exist of the 'conviction' for the non-criminal infraction. The only catch is to ever find out about it, one would have to come to the local court to get a disposition on it.
I hate having to answer 'yes' to the dreaded question. Always leaves me wondering if that's the reason I'm not getting a call from the Majors. I know, the real reason is probably that I'm 1 in 10,000........
On a totally unrelated note. Love the screen name. Best Decepticon, EVER!!!
Okay so as a responsible adult you cannot post about parting in alcohol on social media if you want to get hired at a legacy???
I would think this is acceptable:
My wife and I went to an awesome wine tasting in Marin County.
My wife and I found just bought a 1926 Scotch, good drinking going on in this house tonight.
Not Good:
I just got totally f'in sh*tfaced and puked in my buddies car, and streaked my neighborhood.
