Upgrade advice

Down to 37 days until I say goodbye to the FAA and hello to Baghdad.

Will probably be flying ATL-Dubai then on to Baghdad. New company pays for the trip, but coach only. 14+ hours in coach to Dubao, for a big-boned guy like myself, seems torturous at best.

Any tips/suggestions on getting a possible upgrade and also any long haul flight tips for not going crazy on such a long flight?

Thanks in advance.

I smile and show my blue eyes to the ticket agent but what I have can't be taught.

If you're going to Baghdad, first remember opsec, don't give out any more information in the Internet. If I was a bad guy, I already know when you're departing and arriving because you're going on DL 8 and I know the day, now I just need to research you a little and you've exposed yourself to being a soft target.

Second the ride isn't that bad, get an aisle seat so you can get up whenever you want. In flight entertainment is good. You'll get used to the trip. It's about $200 for the upgrade to coach plus, but I don't think that's worth it for the price.

If you have more questions pm me.
