I just applied via their website and was hoping some current pilots could fill me in on the state of the company. Are they hiring?

Brutal as in alot of landings in one night or brutal as in you're away from your base so long you have to go off duty and hang out at the company crash pad, that has a cot and a TV that only gets 3 channels?

Two pilots just finished training. One is going to GUY and the other to DRT. Not sure what other routes are opening up if any. GUY has been filled by STBY pilots for the last year. The DRT pilot just resigned.

Define brutal.

Not as bad as it used to be since it doesn't come to DFW any more. It used to be 7 hours per night.

Now you leave GUY at 1830, WWR-WDG-TUL unload, ferry to OKC, crash at the FBO, leave OKC at 0700, WWR-GUY, done about 0900. Amounts to about 5 hours a night. The duuty day is just as long, but at least you can get some sleep in OKC.

The down side is Guymon, it's in the middle of nowhere. The closest city is Amarilio about 2 hours away.

I remember seeing the guys who did that run up in OKC. I felt kind of bad being that I only really flew 1.5hrs a day with hotels on both ends while they were looking really warn down!

The guy going to guymon is just doing IOE there, I think. He's going to be standby until his run opens up.

Was the DRT a younger guy? I was TDY there for AMF in the Hondo this spring, he was a pretty cool cat. Hope he moved on to bigger and better things.

The guy who was DRT quit to open a mechanic shop at DRT airport. He has the hanger right next to where the baron/fedex vans park.
