Up to 425 new aircraft for NetJets?

Point of order. Fractional / 91K is not corporate.

Still, very good news for the folks at NetJets. Hopefully recalls and hiring will begin sooner than later.

Best regards to all you corporate guys and gals.

I think it was implied by the above. Common misconception that should be addressed with folks who are looking at career options in the industry - and who may frequent this site.

Gotcha. Thought it was in the article.

Back on topic:
Challenger 300, great choice
Challenger 605, meh...alright I guess
Citation Latitude, betting the farm on something that isn't even flying yet?

What it ALSO means is that FlexJet and Citation Air are done. Recalls at NJA, furloughs or layoffs at the other two. Not that great a deal.

And the man in the article is walking in front of a Gulfstream, not a Challenger 850

Seems kinda fishy that Bombardier would sell their products to the competition. Same with the new flagship of the Citation line.

Well, I think Citationair's future is a foregone conclusion. Bombardier, however, I would think would sell their jets lies to whoever wants to write a check. But I've been wrong before and frequently.

Heck, I'm jealous of your 601. Anything with a stand up lav or a cockpit you can walk into rather than strap on like a thong would be an improvement over Learjet " ergonomics".

Haha..Yeah I know. I suppose I was using very general terms. Sorry!

Well, that's a relief, I was beginning to worry that the 1% might be suffering from the cataclysm they caused.

Sour grapes!

Not all biz jets are the aeronautical equivalent of luxury yachts. Some (ours) are more like mini-vans or clown cars (stuffed to capacity with people) that function purely as time machines - improving efficiency by maximizing employee time.

Agreed. I'd be curious to see the ratio of 300's to 605's in the firm order. Bombardier is pricing 605's insanely competitive, but the reality of the situation is that the 300 is significantly cheaper over the long-run. I, likewise, think Flex is looking at some hard times ahead. One of their big selling points over NJ was the cabin space in the 300 and 604 versus the Sovereign. With that advantage neutralized, why would anyone buy in? Sure competitive pricing may keep them afloat for a while, but is not sustainable. If Bombardier saw any future in the outfit, they would not have self willingly eliminated their only advantage over the competition.

That is good news, but also noted in the article that they said it would replace some of the current fleet. Still, good to see they are expanding, in the mean time I'll keep drinking the cool-aid until I have a job there

I'm sure yours aren't, but then, as you remind us, you're in a pretty different part of the industry from Netjets, which is the subject of the article.

OTOH, I flew a little rich person jet for a direct competitor to Netjets. About 95% of the flying I did there was the aeronautical equivalent of Captaining the Minnow, but with no Professor, because I can't remember having anyone in the back who could make a radio out of coconuts.
