United Flight 93 on A&E

Different bits of information from different websites is not enough to prove that a 757 was shot down. If a plane is shot down it has millions of pieces drifting over several states. This was a sort of crater in a field.

I never said I had proof that the aircraft was shot down. If anyone is to have any proof on that it would be the government. What I did say is that based on the factors I previously listed, it makes a heck of a lotta sense to say that the aircraft was shot down.

Ok, you argue that if the aircraft was shot down there would be millions of pieces allover, and there was only a crater. Well from seeing various crash photos over the years, there is always various aircraft parts scattered allover the crash site, not just a crater on the ground. Where do you suggest the pieces have gone then? The FBI found an engine I believe but that was the only large part of the airplane they found. The black box was found like 20 feet underground and was taken away for investigation.

Also, I highly doubt it, but it is said that on the 9/11 it appeared on the news that a 767 landed at Cleveland Intl and United identified it as flight 93. The aircraft was moved to a secured area of the airport. They also claim the following:

..something is odd with the serial numbers of Flight93 and Flight 175.
The serial numbers of the ORIGINAL planes are SAME serial numbers of the planes that ARE STILL FLYING. 591UA and 612UA.

Dulce argues, that though N-number can be transferred, the manufacturer serial number CANNOT be transferred.

According to some spot-witnesses, Boeing 757-222 SERIAL NUMBER 28142 is flying around Chicago under the alias 594UA.

According to the FAA, N594UA Boeing 757-222 flies now with a DIFFERENT serial number, namely 28145.

Could anyone who is a little better at this verify this last bit of info on the serial numbers or N numbers?

I wonder why the government won't release the flight recorder data when it's not even something that secret, unless that is they did indeed shoot it down and want to hide something.

They didn't release the CVR either, two reasons: respect, and security.

It's always interesting to see how quick people turn tragedies into conspiracies, especially with aircraft accidents.

Respect: Then maybe they shouldn't release any black box data ever on any crash due to respect to the victms. Why is this one special?

Security: What are the terrorists gonna do? Go back in time or something and make it different because now they have this data? I don't care about the CVR, if someone got the flight dada and made an accurate simulation of the crash it would be good enough.

I think a great majority of the general public has forgotten.

Not me. I'm reminded every day I wake up and don't have a job to go to. It's VERY real and it's not that I don't think about it, or that I don't want to pretend it doesn't exsist or never happened. Those were MY co-workers, MY airline's airplanes, believe me, I remember. I remember every day that awful feeling in the pit of my stomach as I suddenly realized my life had changed forever. I would only come to realize in the months afterwards just how much. Watching other AA F/As at the airport, they're going about their day like nothing has changed (though in retrospect, their lives have all changed too), while I sit on the street furloughed after 7 years of service to AMR.

So no, I CAN'T ignore it, I DON'T pretend it never happened, and believe me my little world is anything but happy right now.

I just don't want to watch a movie about it. Ask me again in 10, 20 or 40 years, and my answer may be different. But not right now.

Amber

Trust me on this, not many people have forgotten. Part of the healing process is to take that memory and put it to the side. My younger, who lives in New York, lived through 9/11. She will never talk about 9/11, but, if the subject comes up, be prepared for a lot of anger & some tears.....

question about the content in the movie- is it known how exactly the passengers rebelled (with the drink cart, and the seat cusions)? or did the producers/director, etc. make the scene of what the public think happened?

Based on the input from witnesses, remember, some of the passengers were on the cell phones & some used the phones equipped on the aircraft. So, they recreated the incident with the information that they were supplied or heard, the one FBI agent was listening in when the phone was put down....

Has anyone read the 9/11 Commision Report. I am just finishing it up now. It has been a good read for sure.

Yep, that report sounds like it was written for a Hollywood movie......

It seems that every 9/11 is weaker and weaker in terms of memorial events and media coverage.

Of course, just like losing a relative, such as a father, the first year, you cry, the family gets together & looks over photos. The image is still fresh in your mind.

The 2nd year, you shed a tear or two, & rather than going to a relatives house, you make a phone call & talk about some memories. The image in your mind is starting to get a little fuzzy.

The 3rd year, you remember the date, look over the photos, no phone call, & that image is almost gone.

4th year, you forget the date, photos stay in the closet, image is gone.

5th year, Dad who?

Pengy, lots of respect for you, ese, but you're 100% wrong about this. Lots of people will never forget losing a close one, and the thoughts never ever get to the stage of "Dad who?"

I think ya'll are comparing apples to oranges here when talking about "forgetting".

While I'll never forget the death of my first grandparent - and never forget the pain and anguish I felt during that time....

while I'll never forget 9/11, where I was, what I was doing - and never forget the pain and anguish I felt during that time....

I do not still experience the same pain and anguish now then I did then.

Not feeling the pain years later is not the same as forgetting.

You just go on with your life. Never forget the day or how you felt THEN, just don't dwell on the pain.

Just MHO.

Well, it's my arrogant opinion that you've got it absolutely right.

You cannot dwell on the past. You've got to move on. Moving on doesn't mean that you've forgotten.

I don't think anyone's forgotten WWII but we buy German and Japanese goods all the time.

I was exaggerating!. But, as you adjust, the feeling starts to change..... You know it is at the beginning, even just mention of a loved makes you want to cry, eventually, you can mention the loved one & even joke about it....

In a recent recurrent-CRM class, I heard the tapes of the last few transmissions from Flight 93. It was more horrible than I hope you can imagine. I can't see the entertainment value. CapnJim will not be watching.

I think that it's not that it stops hurting, you're just better at not showing it. But I admittedly know very little about this because I have been very very lucky and have not lost a loved one (the benefit of a small family, I suppose) [knock on wood]

Naw... it stops hurting. Not to sound crass, but that's how it is. I've lost all four grandparents, and a cousin that was very close to me both in age and ... well.... he was like my brother...and the old saying "Time heals all wounds" is true. It does.

You'll find out one day - hopefully not any time soon, but you will.

Brian, sounds like you are putting alot of time into this conspiracy theory......Spend the energy on something else man.....

Yeah, I have. It just sounds interesting I guess.

Respect: Hmm, I wonder if we should release the transcript where two people are brutally murdered. Big difference than a normal crash here.

Security: Hey yeah, lets release "How To Highjack an Aircraft 101"

I don't care how long and hard you look here and hope for something, there is nothing more to this incident. Overwith, done.
