right when they paint their numbers big enough to read or paint their runways with markings that can be seen.
I love when passengers say things like that. Their flight operated by SkyWest cancels or something...
"United is a terrible airline! I'm taking Delta next time!"
Then they book a ticket on Delta.... operated by SkyWest.

The best I ever heard was in Boise while killing time smoking. A family comes in the hut to calm their nerves with a cancer stick and pray for a big jet.
"Last time those explitives put me on a DC-9! A DC-9!!!, yada-yada, small jet, yada yada unsafe, yada can't believe we made it."
I thought it was great that out of all the "smaller" jets, in was the venerable DC-9 that was being ranted about.

Most of our 145s don't have them, we have 12 or so that do, but this one didn't. This particular one started life with Swiss Air in 2000 and (I don't think) didn't come from the factory with them. It's an LR so it has the better brakes.

Uhhh, actually you can hit the E-brakes for stopping purposes. Pilots must have gotten caught up and forgot.

I'm thinking its about time to install bumpers on the side of every runway like when kids learn how to bowl.
CHQ had about 2 left in April-ish. They're sitting, engineless, in Louisville rotting away from what I hear. Good riddance.
One had a brake fire a while ago. Rumor has it, the Captain was chewed out by the Director of Ops for calling the fire department instead of just letting the sucker burn.

I was talking with one of the MX guys in BNA. He told me that was the issue with XJT in Ohio then quickly put the blame on the pilots. :insane:

Has to be good old 978RP. Biggest POS we ever had operate our flights. Almost got "smurfed" by the lav once. Also heard a story about a captain flipping out when he saw mx bring it around the corner to operate his flight.

IIRC, the parking brake handle on the ERJ operates the same valves as the toe brakes, except sans antiskid, which would make the whole shootin' match worse.
I remember talking to certain European operators who ordered the airplanes without TRs when I was in Brazil picking up jets. They were telling me that it had to do with landing fees due to weight. However, it turned out that Embraer still had to add weight to the tail to compensate for the lack of reversers. The old Swiss ERJs had HUDs, but no TRs. Veddy intersesting.

Really? Thats interesting since the ntsb investigation is still open. Im pretty sure he has absolutely no clue what the facts are. I hope I missed a joke or a sarcasm tag somewhere. Until you have walked in that crew's shoes Im pretty sure you have no clue. I apologize if im overreacting, but Im just closer than most to this issue and the crap spewing on these forums is gonna bring me an early grave.
