It has been posted here already but doesn't hurt to repost it. They are hiring two assistants as well. All new hires will be on the legacy Continental side of the house until a unified contract is complete - which could be anywhere from a few months to a year or more.

Indeed they are. However, both dispatch groups are working together for a deal that is best for everyone - I have confidence in the leadership of both groups - so things could definitely be worse. Better to get a good deal that takes time to negotiate than to take the company's first offer without any attempt at negotiation.

Amen Brother. Working toward a common goal is always a good thing. I just finished reading Hard Landing, it's hard to imagine the airlines functioning like they did. Then and now.
