United Airbus Engine Fire

Im sure yall have seen it. I am curious if there was an uncommanded evac? I have see some reports there was no evac, and others say partial? Anyone know?

Video looks like everybody down the slides, albeit by the time whatever monster was filming in portrait view got to the slide, the fire department was already there.

“Smoke instantly filled the cabin…”

Huh?

The fire appears to be pretty residual in the tailpipe once the jet stopped. Simple to extinguish once crash rescue appeared on scene.

On a side note, does the media seek out the biggest drama clowns it can find to play their interviews? Acting like they survived some near death experience, barely escaping some massive fire inferno conflagration.

“There were people jumping over seats trying to get out of the plane”

Sounds orderly!

Now we just need a political figure issuing a probable cause in a live tv interview.

I loved the people screaming "NO!" after being told to remain seated. We mutiny aboard airplanes now?

Jesus. And people wonder why I stopped flying self-loading cargo.

Look how many people can’t or won’t follow simple things like seat belt signs that are on. These are the same people who would blame the airline if they got injured in turbulence while they were wandering around with the sign on.

To be fair, we have trained bad behavior in regards to the seat belt sign. I have seen it left on for hours in smooth air.

Don’t the FAs call up to the cockpit once inflight service is complete so the cockpit crew can turn off the seat belt sign if they want to?

This is what happens with Joe Rogan having a podcast "Just asking questions?" Now everyone thinks they know better than the professionals because I listened to this one episode of a podcast.
