So if I just did my self video interview with the HR questions due by the 17th. If I hear back when would I expect a possible in person and which class date?
I did it before it was due sorry my bad I wasn’t clear with that in the first post but was just wondering the time frame and possible class date if I am selected to continue on.If you just did them and they were due the 17th (3 days ago). Chances you here back are none id imagine.
So I did my one way interview. I heard back from them and I have an in-person interview soon. I know this is beating a dead horse. But I’ve heard I should study weather section of the ADX and to be ready for charts.
Is there anything else I should look over? For charts, is it mainly approach plates or Enroute?
Thanks for your help!
How do they determine what shift you're on, whether it be days, swings, or mids? What are the chances one is stuck on mids the rest of their career? We have a fair number of commuters. Some drive from Indiana, Minnesota or Wisconsin, others fly in from IAH or Florida. New location is further from the airport and no public transportation, so a car is a must in addition to the crash pad. 5-2-5-5 makes it easy to fly in on day 1, fly out day 5. Plenty of trading so you can do 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off as well. There is currently no commuter clause in the current contract
Chances are low. You bid for a line. While it depends on exactly the bid, recently mids are actually slightly more preferential to afternoons. Mids comes with an additional PTO day every month. How do they determine what shift you're on, whether it be days, swings, or mids? What are the chances one is stuck on mids the rest of their career?
Oh gotcha. If one is bid relief and gets honored days then they are days for the remainder of that bid?Chances are low. You bid for a line. While it depends on exactly the bid, recently mids are actually slightly more preferential to afternoons. Mids comes with an additional PTO day every month.
Those who do not hold a line are bid relief and can request whatever shift they desire. Generally the request is honored. Some people who prefer days may stay on bid relief rather than hold an afternoon or mid line. Note that the requested bid relief shift is only a preference and is not assigned according to seniority.
No. A tentative schedule is provided I think 30 days in advance of the month. Individual shifts can then still be changed up to 7 days in advance before they are locked in for you. Over the summer, most bid relief was moved to midnights to help with staffing challenges.Oh gotcha. If one is bid relief and gets honored days then they are days for the remainder of that bid?
I also interviewed for the Dec start. Did they say for sure offers will start going out the 13th?So I interviewed for the December start date. I heard they will start sending offers out on the 13th. Is there anything to watch for over the next two weeks? Good signs/bad signs? If you are not selected, do they wait to change your status until the 13th?
That’s what I got out of it. But you know how the airlines go, it can probably drag on even longer than what they say. What did they tell you?I also interviewed for the Dec start. Did they say for sure offers will start going out the 13th?
They said at the absolute latest i would know by the end of october, but they said it should be earlier than that. Pretty vague lolThat’s what I got out of it. But you know how the airlines go, it can probably drag on even longer than what they say. What did they tell you?
I’ll just give you some peace of mind, they called me in the time frame they told me they would. I will say it’s a little tight on making a big decision like moving to Chicago but they did honor the time frame of notification. They said at the absolute latest i would know by the end of october, but they said it should be earlier than that.
