Usually it’s a fresh slate every time.Thery had over 800 applicants for the last hiring and only hired a class less than 10 makes you wonder if they go back to any of the hundreds they interviewed in person?
I just came in here to wish you all good luck. We're all counting on you.
Agreed. Although you’ll find that to be the minority opinion within the NOC.Hopefully you guys get to go to Denver. That would be sick
If that does happen, it probably wouldn't be for several more years (I believe the Willis Tower lease expires in 2032?) And it's a very big IF since Illinois will fight hard to keep United headquartered here...I foresee them offering tax breaks, land for development, etc. However, DEN is definitely a possibility, even if it's not a likely one. So my point is, plan on living or commuting to Chicagoland for several years if you apply and get hired.Agreed. Although you’ll find that to be the minority opinion within the NOC.
What are the odds dispatch pushed back against finance changing the class size and loosing 7 people? In theory the class sizes should be set in stone once the post goes live. Too many people in a class and finance cant cover paying them all? Sorry gotta trim money from elsewhere cuz we are hiring them.Usually it’s a fresh slate every time.
There’s also the 7-ish that got offers and then had them pulled back after finance revised how many people can be hired for the last class. IIRC those get some preference if they were to reapply for a subsequent posting within a certain amount of time? But don’t quote me directly on that.
I’d say external. We usually have at least one or two internal most classes.Does United prefer internal or external? How many are they hiring?
Do they hire ppl without dx experience or notI’d say external. We usually have at least one or two internal most classes.
Externally, I cannot recall anyone get hired without previous experience. Even in the hiring rush of 2023.Do they hire ppl without dx experience or not
All great points. I definitely wouldn't start looking at houses in Smokey Hill or Douglas County just yet. Whatever they decide to do definitely won't be until that Willis lease is coming up for renewal. If that does happen, it probably wouldn't be for several more years (I believe the Willis Tower lease expires in 2032?)
