Uniform!!

Guys.......Relax!
Take a chill pill..........:)
Actually , even i have no enmity with the uniform and like someone said , the best part of the uniform would be to freeing you from deciding what to wear to work but If there was a day decided for us to be allowed to wear colored dress than that would be gr8.
And by the way with those leather jackets and hat on, some pilot look real fishermen, but most of them look like Cobra Catcher. Now, don’t get offended, you could (hopefully) not be one of them.:D

Why does a judge wear a funny black robe? Shouldn't they be allowed to wear shorts & flip flops!

No. They're a judge. They're expected to look and act like a professional person of authority with some responsibility.

Honestly…….all they miss is a red nose! And any Circus company would hire them. I’m sure they could have found a better attire and yet would look as professional as they are supposed to be. Professionalism doesn’t always have to stick to ugliness, does it?

Those leather jackets are cool when flying on your private plane~ I dont know about an airliner though! They are good on the winter in the north states though.

I don't understand how people get soo wrapped up around these leather jackets..

People bitch and moan and complain about them like it's some sort of regional leprosy or something..

I know lots of major guys who wear them..

I love mine.. It's warm, it doesn't get "wet", it doesn't wrinkle, etc..

I guess the ole' "to each their own" thing applies here..

You sit on that blazer one time and it's wrinkled . . . my leather always looks good, it won't fade and it's dual purpose. I love it:rawk:

well i just don't understand why airlines all over the world has the same boring uniform for pilots! lets think creative, if you were to bring some changes in your uniform then what would it be??

In an attempt to haul this thread back into relevancy. According to the "Airlines through the Ages" (or something) at the Air and Space, somebody (People's Express - my memory is going) tried pilots in "suits" because everybody at People Express was a "manager". A very nice brown suit it was, with a name badge that said "Fred Smudgins - Pilot" (they probably didn't all say that, especially if your name wasn't Fred Smudgins).

They changed back to the epaulets and boring uniform because they needs the pilots to stand-out - I think it was for security - got me.

So there you go - it's boring uniforms for us until the world is safe and terrorism is defeated.
