Uniform Pants?

Anyone have any good names for uniform pants? I am thinking of going with Cintas.

Don't even mention M and H.

Bill's are from Abbott.

They've held up very well, he still has a couple pairs of his new-hire pants!

Let me tell you about my Cintas experience: I ordered two pair of pants. I thought I would try to save a little money and order them with the pre-tailored inseam. The price for my pants (34X34) was the same as pants with just a 34 inch waist. The only thing was if they didn't fit I would have to pay for them because the inseam had already been cut. Well, when they came in the mail they didn't even come close to fitting. One pair was super tight and up to my shins, I could have put my wife in the other pair with me and they were so long you couldn't even see the bottom of my feet. Oh yeah, both pair had 34X34 on the tags. Initially they charged me for the pants, but fortunately I took about 10 pictures of the pants and e-mailed them in to one of the directors of quality control and I was able to get things straightened out. When I ordered my next pair I decided it would be better to just take them in to the tailor myself.

Outside of that, the pants are poorly made. They are difficult to press because they aren't straight. In the summer they are so hot they make me feel like I'm wearing a plastic bag. In the winter the wind cuts right though them.

I decided to shop for some new pants. I threw my blazer in a bag and headed to the mall. I finally ended up at Dillard's where I found some Kenneth Cole pants on the sale rack for about 30 bucks a pop. They are much better made, very comfortable, and they match my uniform.

Thank god we are getting leather jackets with our new uniforms so it won't be so hard to match the color of the pants!:)

Target. Seriously. They match the blazer here perfectly, and the cost half as much as M&Suck.

I will NEVER order another thing from M&H. There stuff is über-expensive and COMPLETE JUNK! My 'new-hire' stuff fell apart in months and that's following their cleaning instructions. Poor workmanship and even worse customer service.

My most recent pair are Dockers (no jacket for the summer season). Might need to get me a leather jacket this year......'cause, did I mention, I will not buy M&H anything!

I submitted a reply to this earlier but I guess it didn't go through. I can't imagine why a moderator would have deleted it so it must have been internet connection on my end.

Anyway Seggy, I have two pairs of Merona brand pants from Target and they look exactly the same as my Cintas uniform pants.

They are 1/3 the cost and furthermore, the Target pants do not need to be driven back and forth to the expensive dry cleaner's.

There is no disadvantage that I have seen so far and they are made in blue and black. They have the same texture and feel as the Cintas pants which is why they are great; they do not look like khakis.

As long as you wear pants Mark. I can't shave your backhair and fly with you wearing no pants. :D

Speaking of leather jackets - I know its kind of old school but are they allowed in place of the giant jumbo goofy trenchcoat? If so, what type of leather jackets are approved?

I'm heading to Target tomorrow! M&H blows chunks.

I've got the leather jacket, but I had to break down and get a blazer, too. We have to wear some form of jacket from Nov 1-May 1st, and it's often not cool enough in MEM to wear the leather jacket at the beginning and end of that period.

At my local target today, but couldn't find any Merona navy pants. Are they dress pants, or 'khaki' style?

I did see some Cherokee Ultimate Khaki's in navy that don't really look like khaki's.. is that what you guys have? Or are they dress pants??

Are those becoming more socially accepted at CJC? When I was there, only one person (infamous ORF CA) had one and we made fun of him quite a bit. EG (old ACP) hated it!

Let me tell you about my Cintas experience:
...which sounds eerily similar to my experience with Cintas. I also bought 2 pairs of pants, had them measured by the Cintas guy, and when I got them it was as if they just gave me 2 random pairs of pants with a 32 inch waist. One pair was tight-fitting, the other was super-tight fitting, and BOTH pairs were much too short. I took both pairs to a tailor and had the legs lengthened as long as possible, but they still are a little too short.
I will NEVER ever buy Cintas pants again....Ever...Never...
Oh, and that's aside from the recommendation from their rep of dry cleaning no more than 4 times a year? Otherwise the material starts to fall apart...so why do these crappy pants cost $70 again?

But they're SOOO comfortable! :sarcasm:

My dad wears either Lands End or LL Bean pants to work. Very good quality pants either way, not cheap though. But if the can survive while crawling through small hatches, and working on engines and things all day, then they can certainly withstand sitting all day.:)
