Never partied in IA, almost every other state in the union though. But hey, cornfields, cows, sounds look a great place for overly large bonfires and suspicious use of everclear.

Unless you're by the Mississippi river, I think Iowa is just like the rest of the midwest, pretty boring. It's way more diverse than up here and there is this funny thing called "terrain" :), but I think once you get west of Des Moines, it's pretty friggen boring. There's plenty to do if you're in one of the cities on the river though.

We like to believe that you're not having a bon fire unless you can see it from space. :D A few of my friends live outside the city out on farms and two of them have had to knock a barn down. Nothing like a 20 foot pile of wood being set on fire! :nana2::yar:

:yeahthat:, plus you cant even bash ND for WEfest since its in detroit lakes. Its not even that big compared to other country music festivals. Im sure TX has many more which make WEfest look like a PBS production. But since i like country music, i guess TX comes in handy for something.

Two haybales, something to hollow out atleast a 12 inch hole through both of them, 5 gallons of diesel fuel, your favorite "cooking meat" and a match. Someone else supply the overly watered down keg, the local yuppy with too much money and not enough brains with the 5K dollar stereo in some kind of import for music and let all your problems drift away! :rawk:
