The Piper Aztruck. You'll run out of room before you reach max gross weight. The wing takes ice like a champ, it's got an airframe like a tank, and it's got a good range. Engine failure is a nonevent and if needed it will loose altitude like a wet brick. You can run both engines off of one electrical fuel pump. The only thing I can't figure out is why the hydrolic system runs of the critical engine and the janitrol is run off the critical side tanks.

As for under-rated airplanes, the FlightDesign CT gets my vote:
Kind of goofy looking, but very slick and very fast for an LSA. Awesome cockpit, avioincs and engine. It'll takeoff and land on a dime. I would love to get some more time in one. Just a FUN airplane.
Plus it has a chute! Can't go wrong there, right?

I dont have a lot of planes in my logbook, but I think the Seminole is on the top of my list. It is stable, predictable, and will get down and stopped pretty fast. Of course it doesn't perform well in the heat, and the Piper ventilation system absolutely sucks.
It's not bad. I prefer it to the Duchess for the handbrake flaps alone. I think WAY more GA airplanes should have manual flaps.

Haven't flown her in a few years but the Pilatus PC-12 is an incredibly capable airplane. She'll do 260kts true on less than 250 pounds per hour for 7 hours plus at altitude and can also easily operate on grass strips under 3,000ft. She'll also take 4,500lbs of payload with a roomy interior. Truly a joy to fly.
That turbo 207 is cool looking but its almost like Bud Anderson's P-51 Mustang was left alone for too long in the hanger with drunk Cessna-172...

Going to have to agree with both of these points. Both Taylor Swift and the CTSW are awesome. It takes a bit to get used to landing the CTSW, because of the somewhat weird sight picture, but its a fast and agile plane for its size.

Yeah, that's the one bad thing. It gets squirrelly on landing if you aren't on top of it, especially in crosswinds. Once you figure out the landing part, its VERY easy to make "barely felt it touch, roll it on" style landings.

The 206 is a hell of a truck. Don't know if it's underrated, but I sure like it. Love to fly a 207.
I think the Twin Bonanzas got a bit of an undeserved bad rap - probably the same reason ("cantankerous" engines...cantankerous, sure, whatever, descent planning fail) that the Queen Aire has a bad rap.
And the Semihole...er, Seminole is a good airplane too. Stable and I've never had so much as a mechanical burp with one.
You can have the parachute-equipped LSA, and I'll take Taylor Swift. Solved, thread over.

icsplease:Also, I would love to include the PC-12 or TBM850 but I haven't flown either. Other than that....A-10. Grunts love it, plenty of time on station, a 30MM gun, and a titanium bathtub. The A-10 is SUPREME winning!
