I'm not familiar with that one. There was the one a few years ago where the guy ran the Rockwell Commander into Superstition Mountain because of CFIT at night. He was fully licensed, but the aircraft was illegal to fly since it had just been purchased and hadn't been inspected.

Do you mean out of annual? Or was operating on a 135 certificate without a conformity inspection?
