Ultimate Jet Charters

Does anyone have any information on Ultimate Jet Charters? Pay, schedules, bases, minimums, etc?

Thanks!

pay i think starting is somewhere near 45-47K/ year. When you upgrade you go back to first year pay. home based. if you live near CAK you will get used more often. 2 weeks on 2 off, but no guarentee to get you home on time, training done on your off days. looking to move to different fleet (since the DO jet is a dead airplane, parts are getting hard to find). Overall seem like nice people.

I don't work there, but was looking into it a while back. All above info is second hand.

good luck ;]

I got a "tour" of the DO Jet a couple of weeks ago when I was in CAK. The pilot was getting ready to go on a trip, so we didn't have much time to talk, but he seemed to be in a pretty good mood & didn't have any negative things to say. I know a lady there who quotes charters and such. I've asked her once upon a time about the pilots and she didn't have much info. For what it's worth, the FBO is full of great people and one could hope the charter bunch is the same way.

Not to mention this info is inaccurate...

Awesome post!

If you know its inaccurate then you must know the correct figures. You might also infer from the original post that some on this board would be interested in that info. A good way to share it would be to include the info in your post.

This is direct from a UJC pilot.....

Schedule: 8 on, 6 off. Sometimes less than 8 on. Sometimes more.As it stands right now, OT is not mandatory, and I've never received flack for turning it down.

Pay is $40k/year as a newbie FO in training. Goes to $45k when you hit the line. FO pay increases 3k / year. When you upgrade, you go back to first year CA pay, currently 60k.

CAs here do EVERYTHING, for the most part. Your own flight planning, hotels, rental cars, etc, etc. We do finally have a system up and running to view schedules online. The "powers that be" are making great steps in the right direction, and I believe UJC has a solid future. The only real drawback is that we're flying a dead airplane. Spare parts are not made in great numbers since Fairchild Dornier does not even exist. Management does acknowledge this, and is considering ERJs or CRJs for the future. The current plan, though, is 25 DoJets within 5 years.

Plan about 2 weeks in CAK for ground & indoc, followed by 2 or so weeks in MCO for sim. You are paid during training, receive per diem in training, and get your hotel covered. Also, you and your classmates will have rental cars to share on about a 2 pilots to 1 car scale. That's great stuff.

Recurrent training ... sim and ground ... is unpaid on your off days.

Per diem: varies. Certain locations, such as ACY and MEV, we get nothing because our hotel room and food is comped by the casino. Others, such as PIT and IAD, we get $60 because the company pays the hotel. Generally speaking, we get $190 per night to cover expenses. Out West, it's $220.

I'm really sorry for not posting info earlier about UJC. It's been a little hectic for me.

Anyway the above info is accurate and is almost verbatim what I got out of 3 pilots for UJC. The pilots told me that they're not downsizing or reducing their flying...they were simply slowing their growth. I like that positive thinking. As far as hiring is concerned right now they're not. Actually I have a friend that interviewed and got hired in July and still hasn't been to training. They have no advertised minimums that I know of but I was told 1000hrs of multi is preferred.

Hope this info helps!

We're not hiring until this summer, and it'll probably only be 2-4 guys at that point.

DoJets will stay for the time being. Still waiting for CRJ-100/200 hulls to drop in price, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Three corporate shuttles have vaporized in the last 5 months, but sports charters have kept us busy.

If you want any more info, drop me a line. I DO work here.

The thread up top is pretty accurate on pay and lifestyle. UJC is hiring now and still running a 8 on 6 off schedule. Starts at 45k plus perdiem. Need to have 2500-3000hrs to be competitive, but they have hired with less if your past experience is good.
