Fetus found on Continental jet at IAH

HOUSTON -- A fetus was found aboard a Continental jet at Bush Intercontinental Airport Sunday afternoon. The fetus was discovered in one of the plane’s bathrooms by a cleaning crew, the Houston police department told 11 News.

Flight 433 from New York’s LaGuardia Airport landed at Gate C-18 of Terminal C at Bush IAH about 4:45 p.m. Sunday. Officials said all of the passengers disembarked the plane and that the cleaning crew did not arrive until about two hours later.

A member of the cleaning crew found the fetus in one of the rear bathrooms of the plane.

The Houston Police Department and the FBI are investigating.

How does that even happen? Did it just fall out? I can't imagine someone giving birth to a child on an airplane without a few people noticing.
 
Wow, this is horrible... what is also horrible is I had to stop myself before I made a joke about taking the kids to the pool. Ugh... I just hope it was a miscarriage! BUT STILL wouldn't you tell someone?!
 
Sad to say, but I live in Houston, and I can completely understand that happening given the current pool of citizens here. Someone please help me get out! Anyone need a pilot with 18TT who just soloed?

I really don't think the article gives enough information to have any sort of real idea what happened.

It appears like a lady had a miscarriage, which is an awful thing, but not a crime. But again, I really don't think there's enough information there for us to really know what happened.

That's what I was thinking. If you did have a miscarriage on an airplane, what are you supposed to do about it? I'm not saying what the "mother" did was right. However, I can imagine she was already freaking out about it. She most likely wasn't the most lucid mental state.
 
I live in Houston as well, and yeah, no surprise there. This place is a show. The midday news was quoted as saying, "Police are still trying to figure out if she even commited a crime"...????!!! Even if it was a miscarriage(sp?) I am sure she couldve done something differently. Who knows.....people amaze me sometimes.
