UA169 (VCE-EWR), aircraft or parts of it hit truck on I-95

When its ripping out of the northwest and they’re landing 29 in EWR they pump UAL triples onto that runway like it’s nothing.
When I came in from DXB they were landing 29 but they had our 77W land South on the parallels. I didn't notice any 77Ws land on 29 over the next few hours but plenty of 772s and some A350s. It made me wonder if they use 29 for these big bois much as winds were like 35kts down runway 29 when we landed lol.

1. I guess Capt. Wi Tu Lo got his FAA conversion done and a job at United. Good for him!

2. Stay offa mah runway. 29 is the corpie runway. Ya'll have the 22s.

Somehow the quote from the VP of the trucking company made me smile, “The trailer is not damaged and the bread product was not touched.”

Reported the truck was making a delivery to the airport, so I'm guessing either catering or someone in Los Angeles really, really wants their brand of bagels.

early aimpoint shift to a duck under? Be interesting to see.
I've landed on 29 a few times "back in the day", but I don't know how often they use it anymore. But strong-gusty winds, right on the edge of performance for a short runway, and a late turn to final after a long flight. I am sure they were trying to really be sure to hit a point because of the short runway, and just dipped too low too soon.
