after 4+ years of my a/c in my car being INOP tugrul and i finally fixed it this afternoon (more like tugrul fixed it.)

2 texas summers and 2 north dakota "summers" of INOP a/c have finally come to an end!!!

good thing my heater still works like an inferno.

we are thinking of upgrading the horn on my celica to an 139db airhorn to blast the ####ing pedestrians on University Ave.... 45$ upgrade... thoughts? thats like 1 night of drinkin money!

LOL, the air horn is a great idea. I installed an OEM Ferrari airhorn on my Honda because, well... OEM Honda horns are real crap and barely audible. After several close dangerous encounters of rural buffalo drivers from this area, my driving experiences required the use of a loud and obnoxious horn for efficient communication. I used mine twice this weekend. One for a Friendly Manitoba driver not being so friendly by not turning left on a yield-on-left-green when there were no cars coming, and another for making an outright dangerous turn from a cross street that if not for the firm pressing of the brakes that Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme would've been scrap metal in an instant.

45 dollars a night at the bar? make friends with the bartender and spend twenty tops and still not know your own name. just a thought i dont know how north dakota works.

buy cheap beer or liquor and get smashed BEFORE you go to the bar. spend five bucks on 1 drink to keep it going once ya get there. ;)

Put shots of tequila into film roll canisters, then put them in your pocket.

get flask
fill flask with *insert favorite hard liquor*
wear jeans
wear longer socks
stuff flask in sock
use other sock for a mixer (red bull or two works well)

=

cheaper night than usual

Wanna fix mine too? The a/c on my Camry just randomly stopped working when summer rolled around. The funny thing is that it was just fixed up the summer before I came up here, so it wasn't even used! What did you guys end up doing to fix it?

if its just a matter of a slow coolant leak then sure i can charge it up for you, its really quite simple. and if pumping freon into it dont work, well, walmart will take back empty freon cans because you can return ANYTHING there haha!

i figured mine must have had the compressor die because pressing the a/c button did NOTHING....didnt task the engine at all.... turns out this is because when the system is empty...wait for it...theres NOTHING TO COMPRESS. once we filled the system, magically the compressor has to work again, and ice cold air comes out. :-D

TRAIN HORNS!!

Not that specific setup, but a setup similar to that is the only horn system worth a damn. Direct drive airhorns, even though they advertise 139db, are pure crap. I don't know if its the tone or what, but they are NOT better than OEM horns as far as how effective they are. They sound louder within like 4 feet, but when you get say 30 feet away or more, the sound fades away. The airtank system with a selenoid valve or manual layard valve are the best.

I'm kind of a connoisuer of horn systems. I can't help but shoot down imitators. :D
