Well its been an intense 2 months, lots of hotel-living, but Im finally done training and got my shiny new A330 type rating today! First trip is in a few days, a nice long layover in sunny Punta Cana. First oceanic flight is this weekend with a nice 27hr layover in Paris. Can't wait to be sipping my coffee as Im reviewing my ETOPs procedures enroute to Paris!

Congratulations!

I must say that is one of the most graceful looking machines out there in takeoff and landing. And amazingly quiet in the cockpit!

Have an awesome IOE! Sounds like you should be!

Congratulations! ETOPS isn't bad once you get it beaten into your head a few times. I don't know if you guys have something like this, but I have a good handy "gouge" (verified in our manuals) for all the malfunctions that won't let you proceed past the EEP (and what might drop you to 120 vs. 180 ETOPS). Really nice to have handy. I just did my first Atlantic crossing last week, and it really looks a lot worse on paper than it really is. Have fun!

Yeah, I used to fly with Jazz but made the move to Transat a few months back. And nice avatar!
Thanks! I've wanted to fly for ACA/TSC/JZA/WJA etc since I was a little kid, I love the Canadian airline industry. Now I just need to get residence there.

Congrats! One of the few Airbii that I really like the looks of!

(please don't make this a AvsB debate. It's just looks...)
