I posted a thread in the airline pilot section about having the opportunity to leave my current FO job in the states and go south to Copa and fly 737s.

One thing I'm concerned about is coming to a career stopping place eventually. While it sounds great right now to hop around the globe flying, eventually I would like to stay at one place.

So my question is, are you stuck doing this kind of flying forever or can you make that move and stay with a company for your career?

I know this is a broad question but I've got some reservations and would appreciate any info you guys have. I don't mean to sound like I don't want to go because I am pretty excited about the opportunity but I am also trying to look down the road...

I'll let you know in a few years...same worry I have now, FWIW.

If you think flying is a small world, try the international contract pilots. I know a few of them and most have been doing it for a long time...longer than I care to, but only time will tell.

Yeah... I guess I'll risk it. Seems worth it and I can't think of not doing it at this point and not regretting it later
