The first time (and only time so far) that I flew our King Air I think we called it "King Air Familiarization" in the remarks section of my logbook. Also, we have to take a King Air systems class before we can fly it. Same goes for the CJ to be SIC qualified. We didn't go out and do maneuvers or anything, however, every co-pilot new to the aircraft has to do the 3 T/O and landings to be "SIC qualified." Would something similar work for the TBM?

Looks like I've confused some with my post. When students here fly the King Air, we do not log as SIC, for the reasons posted. The SIC time I was referring to dealt with the CJ, which I should not have brought up since it is irrelevant to the question being asked. I apoligize for the confusion.
Now, the reason two pilots can log the time in the KA is because one pilot is an MEI giving training to the other pilot...which we called "KA Familiarizaion" So, I'm assuming that the same would also be legal in the TBM if the pilot was a CFI giving dual...(calling it high performance training, TBM Familiarization, etc...)
