There are only 216 747-400s still flying,

119 747-8s,

and 25 others including VC-25s, Nightwatches, and random SPs and -200s.

just the other week down here, the E-4 was sitting at DMA, the Rolls Royce engine testbed 747-200 was at TUS in its usual parking space, and the Pratt and Whitney engine testbed 747SP is sitting here at MZJ getting work done. Three different classics in the same place, and all operational…..FEs unite!

That table is counting parked aircraft as active.
I'm pretty sure there are more than 200 flying, if you look at FR24 right now there are 180 747 up in the air (flying).
A couple of years ago when COVID hit there were about 438 on the active roster, I guess 12 got pull out of parking recently to make up the 450. These kind of stats are often difficult to ascertain so the "real #" is probably somewhere in between.

his original post said more than 200. 216 747-400 and 119 747-800, and 25ish various other configurations, so around 350ish total.
