TSA Tougher on Bloggers than Bombers

Just seems unbelievable that they would waste time on useless stuff like this when they could be doing something constructive like actually matching up CIA reports with watch lists. Or how about figuring out what flavor Koolaid these kids are being fed. I mean, I endured 12 years of Catholic indoctrination and never once had an urge to go out and punch a Protestant in the face, much less strap a bomb to my junk and ruin someone's day. Those guys have some powerful Koolaid.

I think they've had the ability to confiscate telephones and laptops for quite a few years.

Don't shoot the messenger.

"It also listed people who would be exempted from these screening procedures such as heads of state and their families."

I disagree with this one. Equal Opportunity and Fairness. If we're increasing the security to inspect and search everything and everybody including the little ole' ladies and the children, I believe the politicians and their loved ones should be in the same line as the rest of us.

It's just like pensions, retirement and... getting through security. Politicians say they're "just like us" but have very VERY different expectations for how they should be treated.

Ooops, mea culpa. I presumed it was about confiscation of laptops and/or mobile phones thru customs. My bad!

I gave TSA a new nickname, thousands standing around or thousands smoking around. That is all they do here.

HUH! it was two that came to see these gentlmen. Now the nickname of "Two Standing Around" makes perfect sense. Only they were sitting around more than likely, looking at free "passenger scanner" porn, when someone got an IM.

I always see them laughing on the top of parking garage. I always yell up there, "if you are trying to catch somebody, then you're supposed to be quite." Often I will see them sitting around eating an apple, reading a book, or just plain standing around.

Take some pictures, post them here, and see if you get a visit from the TSA at your home. Or, send the pictures to FOX/CNN/MSNBC/etc. and show them for what they really are. Like you said, "Thousands Standing Around."

I just read a new article that suggest the TSA trim 25% of their management because their top heavy.

There's freedom of the press and then there's is common sense. If you know somthing is confidential and shouldn't publish it then don't

I remember a time when a news agency compromised a seal team because the location was leaked to them. The news people should have been shot at a threat to the mission along with the moron that leaked the info..

Honestly, after reading the site... it doesn't seem like the leaked SD that he published is any special info that wouldn't be readily apparent by someone simply flying through the system. Why all the super secret double probation hype about it?

They'll be visiting here soon.

Crap! I did bomb searches to give chemical references on previous posts here. Guess it is time to backup my work files. :(

Away I go:

As I said in a post a month or so ago, a while back I had to take a course on "senstitive" TSA information, and pinky swear I wouldn't tell anyone. Why would I have to? I checked out of curiosity and EVERYTHING in the course was either on their website or even written around the airport. Go TSA!

I've had it with the TSA. They always shoot first, then ask questions later. Not the right way to conduct their type of business.
