TSA meets resistance

You think ORD's bad? MDW's worse! But I do have to say I won't miss the large mentally unstable girl hitting on me at T-5....

My best experience, and this is for you Seggy, was in Norway. I set off the metal detector, and before I knew what was happening, this beautiful blonde comes over and pats me down. My copilot even asked if I needed a cigarette after she molested me. It was interesting, to say the least. The copilot still brings that frisking up. He's just jealous, since he didn't get any special treatment!

Last time I flew out of DTW, I opted out and this large guy who had trouble moving his arms freely tried to pat me down. Nothing too spectacular.

Oh and we have a few cuties at DTW, but no real hotties working at the 'port. Although one girl working in the Wendy's in the B/C side caught my eye.

I always thought that added searches was due to a higher elevated threat level color. Why are they doing these scatter searches with only an elevated security threat? This makes me wonder what would they do if it were any higher?

Semi Related: I'm usually the last guy to file a formal complaint about anything, but I felt the need to do so the other day. I was going through the employee security checkpoint where I'm based. There was a group of 4 passengers going through ahead of me. They were in the employee line because they were being escorted by airserv. They didn't speak a word of English. The way they were treated by one of their screeners was absolutely embarrassing. I'm the last to pull the "patriot" card, but these clowns are one of the faces of our nation. This guy was absolutely rude to them, yelling at them while shaking the liquids they attempted to bring through, sarcastically clapping when one of them got through the metal detector without setting it off, and swearing like a sailor about these "non English speaking mother..." I took down his name, the time I was going through, etc and filled out the online complaint form on their website. I doubt it will amount to much. You can't teach class.

I can't look away....It's like it's staring back at me and trying to whistle.... :( :shudder:

But then, can they go back ? Is the threat within the US or lies outside were the TSA has no authority ? The computerized ESTA system has proven useless with the Abdulmutallab case, and the cargo operators are faced with yet a new challenge. The TSA has become this huge bureaucratic machine that is pretty much doing what it wants and yet provides thousands of jobs. What are the angles to reform this utterly stupid but needed system ? Who has the power to impose such reform ?
