You get some interesting people on those super discount flights... I took Allegiant from St. Pete to Huntington, WV a month ago. There wouldn't have been enough teeth to identify over half the poeple on that plane if it had gone down.

Sounds like a good ole' day at airport security! I have to say though, it really is silly though how some people so easily throw the racism card these days.

My Allegiant experience was also epic. Stockton to Vegas, full flight, my friends and I probably shouldn't have been allowed on an airplane considering most of them don't even recall boarding, but we skated by. Why? Every person on that flight had to be drunk, high, or both. It was like a party bus the whole way down, flight attendants were harassed left and right. Sad part is, it seemed totally normal for them. It was interesting how the "welcome aboard" announcement had stuff like "Please don't touch the flight attendants, we'll cut you off if you get too drunk, please don't use loud profanity, please don't use an airsick bag and put it back in the seat back, ect". It was an experience, that's for sure.

I am not sure if I should laugh at this ^^^^---but that is freakin' hilarious.:yup:

Yup. It's not just the race card though, it's the everything card. Anyone who feels different wants special treatment, just for being 'different,' and they usually get it in the interest of being 'pc.' I certainly don't mean to say there aren't legitimate issues of racism, sexism, etc, because there certainly are, and they should absolutely be fought against, but the level to which this is being taken is becoming out of hand.

You WERE flying to WV. That could have been part of the problem. ;)

Give it a handful of years and the white folk can play the "minority" card. :bandit:

Shoot, we already are the minority out here in CA.. Where is my special treatment?

I have to say though, Allegiant has the best seats ever! With the seat back pocket relocated to the headrests makes me happy with all that leg room.

Wow. That's quite the number of Hispanic folks.

Here's the demographics of my place according to www.city-data.com :

White alone - 23,510 (59.3%)

American alone - 4,199 (10.6%)
Two or more races - 2,741 (6.9%)
Hispanic - 2,352 (5.9%)
Asian alone - 375 (0.9%)
Other race alone - 22 (0.06%)

US:
White 72.4%
Black 12.6%
Indian 0.9%
Asian 4.8%
Hispanic 16.3%

Fargo:
White 94.2%
Black 1.0%
Indian 1.2%
Asian 1.6%
Hispanic 1.3%

Now if you can't accept that this nation is diverse, and there are clumps of ethnicity all across our great land, you really need to get out more often. If you believe we're the only ones like this, go to Europe, see how it is there. We're still all human, I'm sure the animals would love us to get out of their freaking forests already. Stupid humans, think they can just waltz right in here and harvest all the .....

Actually I was flying to South Bend not WV, but you gotta love those cheap tickets with Allegiant, round trip for 100 bucks and I was talking with the flight attendant and they seem to treat their pilots really well from what I've heard so far. Great company, even reimbursed me for my flight when my mom passed away earlier this year no problems or questions asked.

I remember my highschool was something like this 3 years ago:

52% Asian
32% White
12% Filipino
3% Latino
<1% Pacific Islander
<1% Black

I hear now its "way more Asian", so I can only imagine. We weren't well know for our football team, but our "Dragon Team" was top natch and preformed The city of Millbrae itself is still about neck and neck White/Asian, but as long time White residents die off, Asian people move in and soon we'll be the minority. I'm going to hold out until I'm the last White Male in the 20-30 range, and then all their women will belong to me. In the meantime, one by one I make my voyage. It's a good life.

Obvious racism is obvious. Funny to see all these stats getting posted as if they had any meaningful correlation to anything. Granted, the guy in the OP trying to pull the race card was lame, but every time a white person says "Soon we'll be the minority!" it just sounds like code for "It upsets me that I will soon be outnumbered by non-whites!". If you want to make an argument related to cultural behavior, fine. But the idea that the color of a person's skin is determinant of anything is positively stupid. That's why I don't participate in government and job questions asking me to state my ethnicity. It just doesn't make a difference. And the more people [of any skin color] dwell on that, the longer ignorance will keep our society stagnant.

I'm putting my political science hat on for a minute. Why does whitey fear people of color? Because historically, the more "white" your community was, the more affluent it was. Now there's certainly a bit of racism mixed in there, but some might argue it's a response to a relatively functional psychological defense mechanism. There is a direct statistical correlation between %Caucasian and a community's median home value. Majority-minority neighborhoods have a strong statistical tendency to be in lower socioeconomic areas. So when a white individual sees minority encroachment in their neighborhood, they associate it with a respective decrease in their property values and overall quality of life. If minority encroachment is feared, it's perhaps not for something inherently wrong about minority individuals themselves, but rather the fear that the white person's quality of life was at risk.

The best example of this is the cyclical nature of urban sprawl over the last 60 or so years. As minority ranks grew in the inner cities, Whites "sprawled" into the suburbs and pushed further out. The people who left were also those with the greatest financial resources (allowing them to pick up and leave). Those remaining were, by their inability to leave, inherently less well off. But eventually lower SES groups pushed outward as well, driving the affluent further and further out. Eventually, in the 2000s, we began to see sprawl turn inward, with affluent citizens moving back into the central cities that had largely been abandoned. Many would speculate that this is a cyclical pattern that will continue for some time (in my theory, until most work becomes entirely remote, and people can live wherever they want).

By way of self-fulfilling prophecy, white communities have often purposely resisted apparent minority encroachment as a way to maintain their QOL and property values. No reasonable person would think that a Black or Hispanic family moving in next door will have a direct, negative impact on the community. But there is a statistical precedence for feeling that a community "becoming" Hispanic or Black is a sign of negative growth. So, is it wrong for a White American to resist racial integration in their community? I would say so. Is it irrational? That's a tougher question. I mean how do you argue with a phenomena that is driven by statistical data that is accurate, if not misunderstood.

Forgive me if I myself come off a bit racist - I haven't eaten, but I did just drink a Duvel.
