Trying so hard to land my first A&P job fresh out of school!

Hello folks,

I am trying so hard to land my first A&P job fresh out of school.

Seems like all employer's want experience...unless you count school(2.5yrs)

I really don't have any. I have sent resumes to many

companies...regionals/Mro's/cargo...ect. I am feeling so discouraged right

now. Any advise for a fresh A&P. Thanks.

PS..I am in FLA.

I won't lie to you. But the economy is in real bad shape right now.

A couple of years ago you won't even have a problem looking for work in fact it was the opposite. However there are still jobs out there.

They have alot of A&P jobs although some require expierence.


I belive ASA (regional airline) are also looking for mechanics in ATL

Ditto what CrippleHawk said.

Also, even if the company claims they want experience still apply!
You would be surprised at how many managers would rather have a newbie and train them in accordance to their policies and procedures then hire an older experienced wrench with bad habits.

never heard of it! and rd757...im not an ohio native..born and raised in va...
