Having received a few scathing critiques in my time, I am here to say that while I did not enjoy receiving them, I’m better off for them.

I regret the ones I have had to issue as a Captain, but only insofar as *I* was forced to issue them owing to failures of employer previous.

I don’t but I can see how some do. I hear it all the time. “Are you the pilot or co pilot?” As in the co pilot isn’t a real pilot.

It's not a hat that I wear well. I think everyone to a point carries some ego. But I'd hardly say that I'm overtly arrogant in person and very appraochable. I can easily pick and choose my battles and am not so easily bristled. But ego like narcissism is just a hulking mask worn to hide massive amounts of gaping weakness, insecurity and low self-esteem. Projected wrongly as strength.
