Over the atlantic this Virgin 747 passed 1,000 feet above us. The crappy Ipad cam doesn't do it any justice, but pretty neat to see contrails that close, spinning like a vortex.

Nasty storm over the atlantic. We had to divert 10 miles off course to get around this bad boy. We were FL410, storm topped about 440.

On approach to TLPL (Hewanorra Int'l), some cool mountains. I was amazed how many mountains St. Lucia had.

I got cussed out in Creole for taking this photo at TLPC because I was in a customs area. Didn't see that sign until this nasty agent pointed it out.

Fearing for our lives for the hour and 20 minute taxi drive from Hewanorra to Castries.

I tried to get some better pics but this was the best the Ipad had to offer. And I was trying to keep all the paperwork straight with customs that was confusing as ever. The owner was too cheap to pay for a handler, so it was a freakin' nightmare getting in and out of this country.

Where did you stay in Castries? We were fortunate to avoid the drive by landing at TLPC and securing parking over by the GA maintenance "shack".

We stayed at Morgan Bay. Who did you pay off to get that parking??? Man, it sucked flying 5 minutes to TLPL and take that deathifying drive back up to the north.

Morgan Bay is where we stayed as well. I got sick during the three days I was there, so I didn't get to explore.

We dropped a couple hundred to the guy that runs the maintenance shop (south side of the approach end of 9). They had to move a couple of props around to make room, and we had to get 7 additional guys to push our Challenger back into the corner where they wanted us after we taxied over. Was quite the show, but well worth it.

I'd say it was quite worth it. We should have thought about trying to work something out like that. Man, that sucks that you got sick. We really didn't explore the island at all, just went for some runs down the beach past Sandles and the airport.

The island is great! recommend staying away from the local dish of Sawfish. The bread is good though. I stayed at Halcyon Sandals for a week. Great pics!!
