Trevor Jacob v2.0

That was my first thought as well. “Already looking at buying parts for that Bronco. That checks being a Ford owner.”
Hey meow! My F150 was the best truck I've owned. I regret trading it it for a Yukon everyday. I have my eye on a F150 w/ the Black Widow package.

Don't you want more people like that with a voice?

Nah, bro. What I want is for you to not end up being a 50 year old living in a studio apartment and having never made a decent living in your life. I think you're going to end up deeply regretting it, and I think that's where you're headed. I hope I'm wrong. You know I love ya. But I just think you've taken the wrong path and are continuing to do so. But I wish you the best.

Thanks, Dad.

Hold up. Let's talk about this breakfast spot. Can I get there from W10?

Yeah it's real close by, but you'd prob want a car or a bike, unless you wanted to hike down the side of the highway. Flower House Cafe is the name. Although if you are at W10, you could just exit the ramp and be at Seabiscuit Bakery which is also quite good (if you're not already familiar)

I think where I'm at means the other stuff was the wrong path LOL. It's all a means to an end to fly anyway. Can't hurt.

It's not that deep for everyone. Some of us tried to do things the normal way, but it was a disaster, so we need to take what makes us unsuccessful in a professional environment and use it to get ahead. I'm trying to become an aviation influencer now (like the Happy Gilmore kind), but before that, I tried to be an air traffic controller, an airline manager, get into airport ops, go to college, etc. Had my work in those fields (as in the team I put together in SMF not only saved the contract but is still in place today, for example) excused my loud and ostentatious personality or a global pandemic not occurred, music and comedy is as deep as I was going to dive into that world. Now, I see it as a means to an end.

All I'm saying is not everyone in that world just wanted to "get rich quick" in lieu of working, some of them I'm sure were cast aside just like I was but were lucky enough to be entertaining, or at least attractive. We don't all just have an "off switch", some of us are just "us" all the time. Extroverted high-energy people are people too, but we don't fit in everywhere. Maybe most places. Lol. But you know where we do fit in? Social media. By the grace of Allah.

Literally all those other jobs you wrote would be way better for the long term. What happened that you couldn’t stick with those goals? Controller, airport ops, manager, college, regional pilot?

Aviation influencer, seriously?

I don’t know how a 32 yr old says he’s 25. This is California, apparently we can just make up our sex and apparently now our age.

32 isn’t old, but it isn’t exactly young either. Of course I have no business in your business and I wish you the best, that said, I agree with slumtodd. What you are doing would be okay for a 22 yr old trying to figure himself out. But 32?

Little did you know that you were laying the foundation for putting a Gulley in an A330, back when his liver was still fully functional.

I'm in that weird phase of my life where I'm seeing kids I mentored in SouthernJets captains uniforms or at least WB FO's.

Or like "Is that Evan? On CNN? WTF, isn't he still at UND? Wait… that was a long time ago…"

I don't know what you picture me doing, but it sounds like it is pretty gay. It's not that, whatever it is. What in the boomer LOL.

Get ready for a barrage of more and more intrusive questions and gasps of disbelief at your answers! :)

"Why yes, I pooped. Out of the house… why do you ask? I know, yes, but I don't work for Alaska"

The real question is who is anyone to tell other people what equals success and happiness. That is the problem I have with influencers and sometimes this website. What makes one person happy (the accumulation of money, things and superficial accomplishments) may not even move the meter for others. Some are incredibly happy at 50 in a studio living life lean and full of content, while others are stressed out about their multiple businesses and mortgages. Others thrive in that stress and that’s what brings them happiness. Some want huge families and others just want peace and quiet in solitude. There is no one size fits all for the formula of “happiness”.

The boom in influencers and an entire generation now that sees influencer as a top job will burst at some point, it’s like a fad imo. If it doesn’t then society is doomed as far as depression and anxiety in the future.

The biggest reason why society is more stressed and depressed than ever has a lot to do with social media and influencers. We are constantly bombarded with others lives in a fake, filtered and only in their best moments type of feed. That makes us envious and self conscious even though the majority of us don’t even realize this is the easiest time in history to be a human (in the western world that is). Most influencers don’t give a rats a$$ if they actually influence, they just want you to hit that like and subscribe so they get that money.

Yeah, Seabiscuit’s good. Thanks for putting me on a new one, always like having a new rec up there.
