Transfer from enroute to terminal position

Ok, I'm a newbie here. In my previous post I was being assigned to Houston Center. I managed to get out of going there. I'm trying to get something closer to Alabama, for personal reasons I'm not gonna go into on here. The closest they could get me in a redirect was miami center. My rep said I would be attending the academy in Feb. Here is where I need some help. Is there anybody out there that is working terminal in the south that would like to transfer to Miami center and take my position? (however that works) If you are in Alabama, Georgia, Flordia, south or north Carolina, Mississippi, or Louisiana hit me up. I need out of enroute bad!!! Pm me if you need to.

i know you want something closer to alabama for terminal and i'll be up front and honest im slated to go to kansas city center and i'm desperate to go to miami center and i'll do anything to get to miami. private message me.

In order to go to a center you have to interview for a center position, if you are past PEPC or your traditional interview it is too late to just switch with someone at that stage in the game. Take miami center or decline the position all together

Its not too late to swap centers. Its always a case by case basis but I have a buddy who swapped in at the academy and ended up at Oakland Center. You should get in contact with a FM at the facility or some one in HR there and they would be able to help you. Miami Center is critical staffed so if you complete the academy and go there prepare to stay there unless they let you off the hook. I have been out of the academy for over a year but seems people are still doing the swaps like usual in Terminal and Enroute. So give it a shot if you don't like where you going.

I had a guy in my class hat was supposed to go to Cleveland center and be got his switched to Oakland center. No swap, just a switch. I got fully approved 2 days before we left the academy. So just call up the center you wanna go to, call HR. Keep buggin everyone. It's the only way people in the FAA do anything
